Discharge – Decontrol

“Discharge’s third 7” EP of 1980 saw the pioneering punk/metal crossover band going “epic” with the title track, which was their first song to break the two-minute barrier (shock!), but otherwise replicated their previously established template for high-intensity, politicized hardcore, including a simple but caustic chorus proclaiming “Decontrol, decontrol — we’re being shit on far too long!” Even more frenetic, intense and therefore effective, are the B-side’s raging pair of one-minute blasts: the refreshingly ironic “It’s No TV Sketch” (whereas previous offerings spared no alliteration in going straight for the jugular); and “Tomorrow Belongs to Us,” with its empowering call to arms superseding mere indictments of society’s wrongs from a disillusioned bystander’s perspective.” – allmusic.com
