Introducing Sun Spots, a new hazy and heavy alt-rock act hailing from the PNW. Made up of members from the region’s essential punk acts – Gag, Criminal Code, Nudes, Brick Layer, Lower Species, and White Wards – Sun Spots brings together the Big Muff crunch of the classic grunge groups with the bright, DIY sound of bands like Superchunk and many of their Merge labelmates. Across the four tracks of Sun Spots’ first EP, Loosey, brace yourself for heavy, uptempo, and earnest rock tracks that scorch upon touch. Riffs made for stereo blasting and lyrics ready for you to belt out. Be prepared to do both, you may not be able to help yourself. Loosey will be out October 14th on Happy Families, available digitally and as a single-sided 12”. – Hannah Blanchette
