Let me introduce you to Cincinnati trio Stallone N’ Roses. Their new LP is called When The Mountains Turn Blue, and it sounds a bit like a Rocky training montage gone wrong. Like Rocky got lost on the streets of Philadelphia, someone put something in his drink, gave him a guitar and he turned out to be a punkrocker in disguise.
This is some loud, fast, lo-fi and unpolished stuff, as obnoxious as it is infectious, with bubblegum melodies hiding beneath a wall of noise. Remember Booji Boys? A bit like that.”
