“Dominick Fernow (AKA Prurient) of Hospital Productions continues to show his diverse talents by joining the ranks of the harsh noise makers on Ground Fault Recording’s Series III category. Shipwrecker’s Diary is equal in strength, power and excitement to the others falling into Ground Fault’s “loud” category. Fast moving and aggressive, Shipwrecker’s Diary does not get stale. This marks the most pure noise recording that Prurient has done to date. In order to meet the criteria for the series III “aggressive all the time” this release focuses more on speed, texture, current, and reoccurring themes – as generated by electronics, more so than environmental and atmospheric passages. Source sounds were also provided by Lindsey Watkins and Macronympha for extra spice. This disc is a tip of the hat to the harsh noise community!”
