On September 11th, 2018, the film “Reppai Kissoku Gun Tonyuu 911”, a collection of unreleased footage from G.I.S.M., which was shown for just one day at Tachikawa Cinema City and sold out all 700 seats in just a few hours, has been decided to be released on DVD. The shocking footage, carefully selected from the legendary archive footage, has finally been revived as a one-hour work. It includes “G.I.S.M. Hosei University Tokyo Battle Days” (1984/8mm/13min), “GEOTROPISM” (1984/8mm/20min) which was conceived and starred Yokoyama SAKEVI, the legendary “Eggplant Last Live”, and the first public showing of “Rehearsal Studio”, as well as the ultimate 60 minutes of experiencing G.I.S.M.’s legendary live performance.
After the film’s release, SNS was flooded with comments from people who had experienced G.I.S.M. in the film, such as
“It was an incredible visual experience. The art of roaring sound”,
“I was astonished by the overwhelming realism”,
and “A fierce, terrifying experience”.
The director is Junji Yasuda, who has filmed and directed all of G.I.S.M.’s official footage, including “A Little Rain is Patient” and “Wonderful Everyday is a Panic”.
Released worldwide on September 11, 2024.
